Great Teaching for Ontario College of Teachers (with The Archery Club)

Producer, Interviewer, Writer, Director.

Captivating stories tend to leave a trail; the Ontario College of Teachers saw these trails all over the province in the form of awards, innovation in the classroom and praise from staff and students. Once they determined the protagonists of these stories, it was up to us to follow the veins of these trails to uncover the heart of the story.

As a producer, interviewer and writer, I took a journalistic approach to uncover these stories. Once a quarter, I would immerse myself into the worlds of an anglophone and francophone teacher; I would conduct interviews with educators, students, staff and the subject of the story to discover their roots, their purpose and what excellence meant to them. With my findings I would mold a narrative and work closely with the team of cinematographers and editors to create a plan for production.

Once on location, most often schools, I would need to adapt the story and the production ad hoc to work around restrictive shooting locations, technical challenges and evolving story beats. Full producer, writer, interviewer and director credits for OCT:
