Business for the Arts (with The Archery Club)

Producer, Interviewer, Writer, Director.

In 2018 Canadian non-profit, Business for the Arts was looking for ways to leverage storytelling to showcase their nation-wide advocacy for the arts. The Archery Club was initially brought on to tell the story of Culture Track, a study conducted in partnership with B/A which aimed to uncover how Canadians interacted with culture.

We were faced with the challenge of constructing a short yet compelling narrative from academic research and a corporate event. Culture Track  became a launching point for a collaborative relationship between The Archery Club and Business for the Arts.

Once B/A published the Culture Track story, they turned to us with a much more ambitious project: to create the celebration stories for the award recipients for their Business for the arts Gala. I became their point person within The Archery Club and thus started a immense production that spanned from Toronto, to Ottawa, Montreal and Calgary.

I was able to apply a lean budget to plan a months long production that put the team in rooms with ballerinas, museum curators, former politicians and theatre directors. We were able to weave the narratives from across cities to showcase the hard work and dedication of the arts champions across the country.  Full producer, writer, interviewer and director credits for Business for the Arts:
